Wasn't that something? Doctor Who on US television once again! I have to say the commercials were a little lard to get used to. This show, made for the BBC audience, doesn't structure itself for ad placement, with mini-cliffhangers and so on, so the breaks just sort of came. Nevertheless it was thrilling!.

Every once in a while it hits me.

I've been at this Doctor Who 'thing' now for 25 years, having started back in 1981 watching WHA in Madison, WI. But recently I had an oppurtunity to do something I hadn't done in many years, I reunited with a group of friends, Who fans all, whom I hadn't seen in over ten years. Back in the day we made Doctor Who fan videos (for which this is the subtle link) . We had our fun, and then, as these things tend to happen, went different ways. Careers, marriage, and family tend to do that.

Still for one day, and who knows maybe more, we talked about 20 years ago, what we had forgotten, or chosen to forget–but much more about events remembered. And for us at least–the best part of all is that we have the tape discs to prove it

No the site hasn't gone dormant.  But it is a quiet time for the site, and somewhat uncharacteristically we might add, for Doctor Who itself.  It may just be our collective memory tricking us (yet again) but it seems a year ago at this time there were many more dribs and drabs of information coming about what was going on with regard to production, casting and the like.  This time around we've either adjusted to it or they've managed to move things along without as much outside scrutiny.

So we wait… Can it really be only 2½ months before The Christmas Invasion?

The first update since the 2005 season concluded is complete (despite the dodginess of the servers during the past week) boosting the image count in the Tour to (just under) 19200.  Since we went with only Eccleston images during the spring run, for this update we decided to move completely the other way and do an update on Doctors 1-8 instead.  To find out which stories have been updated, you should now go to The Master List.
