40 years… Happy Anniversary, with much fondness in remembrance of the past, and (what's this?) anticipation for the future.

A significant anniversary such as this should and can bring back what it was to brought this particular fan to the series in the first place.  It was 1981, and I began, as so many American fans did, with Tom Baker, shown on Saturday mornings on WHA in Madison, Wisconsin.  As I got hooked, being a college student, the only way I could archive stories was to put them on audio tape and re-listen to these when time allowed.  It was a wonderfully evocative way to immerse yourself in the series.

Other avenues followed.  One of which is this site, which has now been around for six years.  So how am I celebrating this anniversary?   By listening to Doctor Who, especially Hartnell's and Troughton's.  Amazing stuff, all which makes me miss not having more of Troughton to have around.  Now we await events for 2004 and beyond

Happy 40th… and sixth anniversary….

Another update in the books… about 200 images in total and the largest in over 8 months.  The overall image count stands at about 10700 strong.  Back in the THT brain-trust, we undertaken some substantial re-organization in how the images are stored at the local level which should streamline things even further.  Go to As the Tour Turns… for more details.

We're also considering our options for future Tour expansion given recent events with Doctor Who and the BBC for the forthcoming 40th anniversary…

Another small update vaults the image count over 10200 images.  There's also a new member of The Century Club!

Still it's a relatively quiet time for the site, as updates will become somewhat fewer and farther between, but fret not as we're still on the case.  We would also like to thank everybody for their continued patronage during 2002, with 1.15 million hits on just the main portion of the site.  Thanx again.  We would also like to welcome PKW to the THT brain trust.
