More than a few fans could have been forgiven for wondering whether Planet of the Ood would be in many ways a light rehashing of The Impossible Planet and The Satan Pit. Instead the focus was more on the roles of slavery and subservience and won on both counts. Markers continue to be laid for the remainder of the season. It’ll be nice to see Martha again next week.

We're keeping busy until season 4 starts (although knowing when this is would be nice to know we confess) getting our now-annual massive pre-season site-wide update in place, but we would just like to take a moment to say thank you to all the sites which link to us, especially blogs which use the site as an image resource. Yesterday I did something I really should be doing with much more regularity, I spent the afternoon with an old friend. Knowing it's US release was forthcoming, I unearthed my old copy of The Sea Devils, arguably my favorite Pertwee story.  The setting, the Doctor-Jo relationship at it's most seemless, and best of all Roger Delgado, I greedily downed it all over the course of an afternoon.

The Sea Devils has always been on my all-time top ten list. I really should be going through these old faves, especially before the new season starts, much more often.
